There are a lot of places to visit in North India, which are as follows:

Dal Lake: One of the best places to visit in North India is Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Also known as "The Jewel of Srinagar," covers an area of around 26 square kilometres. Colourful Shikaras, traditional wooden houseboats, and floating markets are the major attraction of this lake.

The houseboats on Dal Lake are decorated with flowery themes and artistic carvings, you can take a ride to witness the beautiful views of the majestic lake.

Gulmarg: Gulmarg boasts the world's highest green golf course. During the winter, there is a lot of snow here. Afarwat Hills has one of the longest and highest ski slopes in the world. Its Gondola is one of the world's tallest cable cars, reaching 3,979 meters. It is also located in Jammu and Kashmir.

Vaishno Devi: In Hindu mythology, Vaishno Devi is thought to be a combination of three Goddesses: Mahalaxmi, Mahasaraswati, and Mahakali. The shrine is devoted to Goddess Durga and has a sacred cave where visitors can pay their respects. It is a well-known location for a religious trip that includes a 13-kilometre uphill climb.

Qutab Minar: Qutab Minar is a five-story, 73-meter-tall minaret and one of the best places to visit in Delhi. Minaret of Jam, erected in Afghanistan, serves as inspiration. The minaret is thought to have been built about 1192 by Qutab Ud-din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate.

The Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, which is as old as the minaret itself, is located on the same grounds. There is an iron pillar that is quite old and well-known.

Akshardham Temple: Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, popularly known as Akshardham, is a social, religious, and cultural landmark in Delhi. It is one of the nicest places to visit in North India. Badrinath Temple: Badrinath Temple located in Uttarakhand is one of the four Char Dhams, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located along the banks of the Alakananda River. The temple, which attracts pilgrims from all over the world, is positioned at an elevation of around 10,827 feet above sea level and is surely one of the best places to visit in North India.

The statue of Lord Vishnu in a peaceful and tranquil position, surrounded by 15 black stone idols, adds to the temple's sacredness.

Amarnath Cave Temple: Located in Kashmir, Amarnath Cave, is one of the most famous temples in North India. The cave contains a Shivling made of ice that perfectly depicts Lord Shiva. The temple has a large influx of devotees, notably during the 45th Shravan Mela. The cave can be reached through Pahalgam or Baltal.

City Palace: The City Palace of Udaipur, Rajasthan is a lovely place to visit in North India. A well-known legend about the City Palace is that the palace grounds include a massive silver pitcher in which the last king of the palace carried sacred Ganga water when he travelled abroad with his other ministers and troops.

The City Palace also houses three museums, which display the royal family's armaments and armour, carpets and furniture, and apparel and accessories.

Mehrangarh Fort: The Mehrangarh Fort sprawls over an area of 5 kilometres and is one of the best Places To Visit in Jodhpur Rajasthan. The Mehrangarh Fort has seven gates that were built by different monarchs at different times to commemorate the victory over the troops of Jaipur and Bikaner.

There is also a museum in the palace that showcases a variety of palanquins, garments, accessories, musical instruments, and royal costumes and armaments.

Wagah Border Ceremony: A 31-kilometre trip west from Amritsar's city centre will take you to the Pakistani border, where a unique border-closing ritual takes place every afternoon at dusk. The Beating Retreat Ceremony is full of pomp and scene, with goose-stepping guards from the Indian Border Security Force and the Pakistan Rangers saluting each other, lowering and folding their flags, and locking the border gates.

Jallianwala Bagh: Jallianwala Bagh, located behind the Golden Temple, is witness to the crucial event that changed the freedom movement of India. The public park honours the estimated 1,500 individuals killed or injured in 1919 when British soldiers were ordered to open fire on peaceful protesters demanding the release of imprisoned Indian Independence Movement leaders.

There are still bullet holes in the walls and a well where hundreds of victims huddled to avoid the shooting.

Mansa Devi Temple: Mansa Devi Temple is one of the most popular temples in Haridwar Uttarakhand, sprawling over 100 acres in the Shivalik foothills. Maharaja Gopal built the temple in the nineteenth century, and it is adorned with 38 panels of wall paintings. The floral decorations on the ceiling and walk are very charming.

You can visit adjacent pilgrim sites such as Vaishno Devi Temple, Daksh Mahadev Temple, Gau Ghat, Chandi Devi Temple, and others while visiting Mansa Devi Temple.

Kedarnath Temple: Kedarnath, located in Uttarakhand's Garhwal Himalayan region, is one of the 12 prominent Jyotirlingas devoted to Lord Shiva. The temple is believed to have been erected by Pandavas and afterwards re-established by Adi-Shankaracharya in the 8th century.

This famed North Indian temple is located at an altitude of 3,583 km and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and glaciers, thus making it one of the best places to visit in North India.
